A Spectrum of Gendered Dreams

In a world that often dictates strict roles and expectations based on gender, I embarked on a mission to challenge these norms and redefine the narrative.

I directed my focus towards those stereotypical "women's" roles that have persisted throughout generations - the princess, the bride, and the cheerleader. These symbolic representations have long limited individuality, restricting self-expression and nurturing harmful stereotypes.

I firmly believe that a person should have the freedom to be whoever they aspire to be, free from the confinements of preconceived notions. It's a journey toward inclusivity and a world where every individual has the liberty to express themselves without bias or judgment.

This ongoing project unfolds against the backdrop of my homeland, Slovakia, a country still deeply rooted in conservative values and religious beliefs. Slovakia, like many other places, faces persistent challenges in acknowledging and respecting the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, same-gender weddings, adoption, and the fluidity of gender.
It's a place where traditional roles and expectations continue to cast long shadows.
